Sobre o DevarimAbout Devarim

O Devarim é uma plataforma de estudo bíblico inspirada no Logos e no Blue Letter Bible. Reúne, num só lugar, a Bíblia completa (66 livros), as línguas originais, várias traduções para comparar e a voz de comentaristas de toda a história da Igreja, para que você examine a Palavra com clareza e construa o seu próprio estudo.

Quem desenvolveu

O Devarim foi desenvolvido por Gustavo Zimmermann, primeiramente para fins de estudo pessoal e, em segundo lugar, para compartilhar com amigos.

O que você pode fazer

  • Ler a Bíblia inteira em dezenas de versões (português e inglês).
  • Comparar até 5 versões lado a lado, alinhadas versículo a versículo.
  • Interlinear grego (NT) e hebraico (AT): clique na palavra para ver transliteração, pronúncia, morfologia em português, forma de dicionário e o verbete de Strong.
  • Comentários por versículo, capítulo e livro, de patrísticos a modernos, organizados por período e tradição teológica, sempre com a fonte citada.
  • Referências cruzadas clicáveis (a Escritura interpretando a Escritura).
  • Palavras de Jesus em vermelho e “Lugares” destacados, com mapa da época ao clicar.
  • Notas pessoais e destaques coloridos, salvos na sua conta.
  • Assistente de IA (opcional) que sintetiza o que os comentaristas dizem.

Versões da Bíblia

No seletor de versões, cada tradução traz uma cor que indica a sua origem:

  • Domínio público: texto livre. Ex.: Almeida 1911, Bíblia Livre (PT); KJV, World English Bible, ASV, Genebra (EN).
  • Licenciada, via API oficial: o texto é obtido em tempo real do provedor licenciado, não armazenado por nós. Ex.: BibliaAPI.com.br (NAA, ARA, ARC, ACF, NTLH, AS21, KJA, KJF, NBV, TB) e API.Bible (NVI, NVT, O Livro).
  • Apenas listada: versão protegida para a qual ainda não temos licença (ex.: ESV, NIV, NLT). Aparece com aviso e sem o texto, até que uma licença esteja disponível.

Todo o conteúdo é de domínio público ou usado por meio de APIs oficiais devidamente licenciadas. Não fazemos cópia nem extração (“scraping”) de textos protegidos.

  • Léxico de Strong: openscriptures (domínio público).
  • Textos de domínio público: Almeida 1911, Bíblia Livre, KJV, World English Bible e outras (via getBible / Free Use Bible API).
  • Versões licenciadas: API.Bible (scripture.api.bible) e BibliaAPI.com.br, acessadas pelas APIs oficiais dos detentores dos direitos.
  • Comentários de domínio público: Matthew Henry, Jamieson-Fausset-Brown, Adam Clarke, John Gill, Keil & Delitzsch, Tyndale (via Free Use Bible API).
  • Catena patrística: Pais da Igreja e autores históricos, HistoricalChristianFaith / Commentaries-Database (domínio público).

Devarim is a Bible-study platform inspired by Logos and the Blue Letter Bible. It brings together, in one place, the whole Bible (66 books), the original languages, several translations to compare, and the voice of commentators from across the history of the Church, so you can examine the Word with clarity and build your own study.

Who built it

Devarim was developed by Gustavo Zimmermann, first for personal study and, second, to share with friends.

What you can do

  • Read the entire Bible in dozens of versions (Portuguese and English).
  • Compare up to 5 versions side by side, aligned verse by verse.
  • Greek (NT) and Hebrew (OT) interlinear: click a word to see its transliteration, pronunciation, morphology, dictionary form and the Strong's entry.
  • Commentaries by verse, chapter and book, from the Church Fathers to modern authors, organized by period and theological tradition, always with the source cited.
  • Cross-references you can click (Scripture interpreting Scripture).
  • Words of Jesus in red and highlighted “Places”, with a period map on click.
  • Personal notes and colored highlights, saved to your account.
  • AI assistant (optional) that synthesizes what the commentators say.

Bible versions

In the version picker, each translation shows a color indicating its origin:

  • Public domain: free text. E.g.: Almeida 1911, Bíblia Livre (PT); KJV, World English Bible, ASV, Geneva (EN).
  • Licensed, via official API: the text is fetched in real time from the licensed provider, never stored by us. E.g.: BibliaAPI.com.br (NAA, ARA, ARC, ACF, NTLH, AS21, KJA, KJF, NBV, TB) and API.Bible (NVI, NVT, O Livro).
  • Listed only: a protected version for which we don't yet have a license (e.g.: ESV, NIV, NLT). It shows with a notice and no text until a license is available.
